AnneCorrine

earned her masters in Dance Choreography from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, in 2004. She currently teaches yoga and belly dance in Durango and Dolores and serves as adjunct faculty at Fort Lewis College in the Department of Theatre.

She performs regionally with Halau Hula O’ Anelalani in the styles of Hawaiian and Tahitian dance. She choreographs for, and directs her own belly dance performance group, Troupe Verde. Anne’s studies and interests have inspired her to teach Movement Analysis, kinesiology, restorative and prenatal yoga, and Pilates.

Her teaching emphasizes therapeutic body movement, strength, posture and technique. Anne also loves teaching Hip hop, jazz, ballet, and modern dance, Spanish and Polynesian dance, and flow yoga.

AnneCorrine mission

AnneCorrine endeavors to host a safe place for connection, self-expression, and healing. Through dance and yoga we find commune with our bodies and with ourselves. Sharing this experience with others makes the experience stronger and more obtainable. AnneCorrine teaches with great joy in her continued pursuit of physical vigor and expression of the self.

Troupe Verde

Troupe Verde was founded in 2005 by AnneCorrine to provide performance opportunities for member dancers. Membership in the Troupe is open to all levels and ages of dancers reflecting a philosophy of inclusiveness and community. The mission is to bring people together to share artistic creation and self-expression.
